A bit of joy being brought to soldiers one at a time.
Dear Nancy,
Just wanted to drop you an encouraging note that I think you may pass on if you would like.
This letter was written to my mother in law recently.
Dear Mrs. B,
Thank you so much for the package. I was especially surprised to see the DVD, which is a movie that I enjoyed from the first time I saw it. You made a good selection with the movie. Now with the cd's, I don't usually listen to country, but, I will listen to the cd's you sent me. When I have listened to country before, it was something from Garth Brooks and I enjoyed it. I am sure I will enjoy the ones you have sent me. I enjoy listening to R & B, Rap (HIP HOP), and jazz. I've recently discovered an amazing enjoyment for some romance novels. It helps give me a break from reality for a moment.
I am married. I am 28 years old. I have 2 children. My son is 7 and my daughter is 3. If I was in Germany now I would be reading to my chilegre or in the park playing with them trying to tire them out. I am originally from Chicago. I have come to realize that if it weren't for the wonderfully nice people like you and our families, I would probably be depressed being away from my family. I don't think I am the only one. So, from the soldiers of the 18th MP Brigade, I want to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my for all your support.
All the letters and packages from the citizens of Michigan have really meant a lot to us. I watch the expressions on some of the other soldiers' faces in my unit and realize that I am not the only one who gets a smile on their face when opening letters and/or packages from you all. I am glad to have been adopted by you all. Once again thank you for all your support.
Sincerely,
M.R.
